Our first phone call :)
15 minutes of his love via verizon....
He is well, really liking it so far, but still adjusting to the schedule and working during the night/sleeping during the day and working twelve hour shifts. He worked patrol first and dispatch the last two nights. He does say that it's getting pretty hot during the day (104-ish), but he is sleeping then, so he doesn't mind much. Facilities are nice, food is good, misses us like CRAZY :)
He didn't seem to mind that my voice didn't sound much like my own, he was still happy to hear it, lol. Unfortunately, he called too late to talk to the kids, but is hoping to try again tomorrow.
That was about it! I filled him in a little bit on Layla's first day of school and soccer and all the havoc Brynn & Cale have been wreaking, but he would rather hear it from them, so we're really hoping for an encore call. If not, he is off on what will be our Thursday and he should have time to Skype with the kids (if we can make t work this time), prayers going up!!!
