Unfortunately, Saturday morning he woke up with a sore throat and by the time he got off the plane Sunday afternoon, he was SIIIIICK. He got out of the car and said, "take me to the ER". It was pitiful. He rarely gets sick, but when he does, it's always bad it seems. But mostly, he didn't want to spend his next two days off feeling so awful and then turn around and go back to work feeling that bad and head overseas still sick. We wanted to nip this thing in the bud. So off the to the hospital we go (after picking up a bite to eat and giving Deda time to get to our house to stay with the kids). Basically, Nathan and I had a 4-hr reunion date in the Emergency Room :)
It was kind of fun, even if he did feel like complete junk.

After some swabs and a chest x-ray, his dx was a really bad upper respiratory infection. But the drugs are already kicking in and we might have a normal day today (yay!). Soooo glad he's starting to feel better. And soooooooooo glad he's home!!
