It's finally time to get to work on our biggest fundraiser to date!
Who am I kidding, we have been working on this for months.
Apparently, I made it sound like it was top-secret. It isn't! I just didn't want to overwhelm you with all the info for all the things. So we've been taking it one step at a time- and here we are! This isn't the official invitation just yet, so to speak. Just the info so that your brains can be churning and you can start prepping too!
We really, really think this can be a GREAT family-friendly event and lots of fun for everyone!
First, mark your calendars for SATURDAY, MARCH 22ND.
For real. Right now. Do it.
The evening will consist of
1) A pasta bar
2) Silent Auction
3) Live music, and
4) A WOMAN-LESS Beauty Pageant.
Mhmm.
Loads and loads of fun, all in one place and time AND Bonus! It will all help bring Nicholas home!!
PASTA BAR
What it is:
We hope to have several variations of pastas and sauces, and let guests choose their own combination. Something for everyone!
What we need:
We already have several friends willing to make/bring different pastas and sauces. We need more. Boxed, jarred, homemade... We are not picky ;) Anything will do.
We also need bread/rolls, salad and toppings/dressings, desserts, and drinks. No one needs to try to do it all, but if several people contribute, it will add up quickly! We think we can get some of it donated, but haven't gotten confirmation yet.
Also, do you know someone who can donate plates, napkins, utensils, etc??
SILENT AUCTION
What it is:
So, so excited about this because we already have some great items that have been donated to the auction. We have handmade boutique items, artwork, crystal, gift baskets, custom signs, photography sessions...
What we need:
MORE! Any item or service you have to offer. Duplicates are totally fine. Themed gift baskets, gift cards, photography sessions, special interest items... whatcha got?! Anything you are willing to donate, we are grateful to have. If you have a talent or a small business (or large business, for that matter) this is an AWESOME way to get your name out there and be seen while contributing to a great cause at the same time.

We have been in the lead the whole time and now we are losing. Go go go! We only have a couple more hours! ***

AND THE MAIN EVENT... THE WOMAN-LESS BEAUTY PAGEANT!
Men and boys! This is your chance to show off your hidden (or not) sassy side! Borrow a dress, slap on a wig and give it all you've got... for Nicholas! I am already hearing rumors of sequins and feather boas! We are excited for lots of creative, fun participants! There is no room for embarrassment or the suddenly shy. There will be judges and (small- ha!) prizes!! Ladies, start working on the menfolk now! The countdown is on :)
We are really, really hopeful that this is a well-attended event with lots and lots of fun to be had! We have some amazing people stepping up to be a part of this and would love for you to be as well. Even if you don't have the resources to donate anything, please plan to come out and have some fun! And invite everyone you know. Seriously. It might get cozy, but cozy is GOOD.
