After Christmas, Layla's class started keeping a daily journal. Of course, they've missed so much school for weather, there aren't that many entries yet. I LOVE when she brings her's home on Fridays so I can read it!

Dear first grade journal,
I have a loose tooth and I wiggle it every day. I want it to come out soon. I will have a hole in my smile!

Dear first grade journal,
Today is my brother and sisters birthday. They are twins and they are both four. I love them.

These are the good* things about wearing uniforms:
1. They might be comfortable.
2. I would be so glad that I would bust my brain.
3. I will match my friends.
These are the bad* things about wearing uniforms:
1. I couldn't wear pretty dresses.
2. The teacher might mess up.
3. I would not be fun.
I think school uniforms are yuck!
*She turned the word "good" into a happy face, and the word "bad" into an angry face, lol. She also signs her name with hearts inside the As.

Dear first grade journal,
I love (heart for the O) cookies. My favorite kind is chocolate chip. What is YOUR favorite kind? I like to help my mommy make them. I love to dip them in milk.

Layla

Dear first grade journal,
Let me tell you about a really fun summer. I went to the beach. I also went to the pool. But my favorite part was staying with my family.

Amber Lee - I like you already! I love this post! Thanks for coming over today. Now you've got me curious though? How did you find my blog - that post?! :) I hope to get to know you more! Your kids are beautiful! I thought it interesting too because our foster daughter's name is Layla and we often call her Lu Lu too! :)
Such a precious child. I wish I knew her in person but I will take being her "fan.".
At least I know her parents for real. :)
