I am soooooo proud of Brynn!!!!
Girl is riding the Potty Train! Choo Choo Poo Poo!!
Lol. Ok...that's from a book we read, I get a little too "Mommy" about this stuff. And yes, all three of my kids will make a train and pump their arms while chanting "choo choo poo poo!"... actually... Cale really thinks that's what a train says now so he belts it out every time we hear a train anywhere. It's kind of funny actually...
Anyway, the Brynnster has probably been ready to potty train for quite some time, but to be honest- I just didn't the have time to devote to it. Sounds terrible I know, but we've been so busy that I knew I wouldn't be able to be consistent and would constantly be sticking her back in diapers when it was easier, which would just drag the whole process out, so I just waited. But we went to a a birthday party 2 weekends ago and our twins were literally the only 2 year olds there NOT potty trained and I felt guilty. Even though, I know in my head that it's completely normal, I felt guilty bc I knew that Brynn, at least was ready.
So last Tuesday, I just woke up and said that's it! No more diapers! I actually tried to start with both of them on the first day and it was an absolute diaster. I didn't think Cale was completely ready but I thought I might as well knock 'em both out. Ugh. What a mess. At one point, I had B on the potty and literally watched Cale walk over and pee directly into an air vent. There was screaming over the potty seat when they both had to go, fist fights over the skittle that she got when she did go, and LOTS of accidents on Day 1. I spent my entire day cleaning poop and pee.
Soo...
Back to diaperville for the boy. He may actually be more ready than I initially thought, he is telling us when he needs to go and saying he doesn't want his diapers, etc.... but I just can't do two at the same time.
But it took Brynn all of about three days to get the hang of this potty thing! She is peeing AND pooping in the potty like a champ now! We had a lot of running around this past weekend and Nathan was at drill, so I did cheat and stick a pull-up on her Sunday, which I just knew was going to be a major set-back, but nope... she has been in panties and accident-free since Monday!! We even did our weekly 2-hour Walmart trip yesterday and she just told us when she needed to go! She even got out of bed last night (in a diaper) to potty, then when back to sleep when she was finished! Yay!!
I realize I just dedicated an entire blog post to my daughter's bathroom habits but I'm so excited!! One down, one to go!!
SO SO SO proud of my baby girl!!!!
