Play 60

Last Sunday after church and lunch, we headed out to the zoo for the Titans Play 60 event. (In case you couldn't tell, we are trying to squeeze as much crap, aka over-the-top-fun stuff, in as we can before Nathan leaves. He is convinced that if he creates loads and loads of memories with them now, they won't notice the ones he is about to miss. It makes him/them happy, and its fun, so why not?)

Anywhoo- the purpose of the event was to encourage kids to get outside and play for 60 mins a day vs. sitting in front of a tv or computer, etc. Some of the Titan players were there, as well as cheerleaders, T-Rac, team trainers, and some other random floaters (Red Robin...mmm). There were tons of games and little football drills, blow up slides, bouncy houses, relays, etc for kids of all ages, and of course the zoo itself was open. It was nice and hot out- looove it.

We all really had a lot of fun. We were there for over 4 hours playing and seeing the animals. We were cracking up because at this point Layla has pretty much memorized the layout of the zoo. She would be telling us that the porcupine exhibit was next on our right before we were finished seeing whatever creature was in right front of us or "just three more animals until the petting zoo!" and she was usually right on! Hilarious- especially considering this was only her 2nd trip this year.

It was a little crowded, but worth it for the smiles on their faces and something different to do besides just the zoo. We ALL enjoyed it really and truly =) Here's too many pics to prove it...

All around the zoo...

It's still their fav part...

One of the goats took a little boy's map and ate it...

Our pretty babies...

When all was said and done, Layla said her favorite part of the day was definitely meeting the cheerleaders. No surprise there really as we think that may be her calling- the girl has got TALENT (seriously). The twins each mumbled something about a goat and GRRRR! (tiger maybe?) before passing out with exhaustion. It was good day!
