After the rain last week, some ducks made their way over to our yard from the lake. Layla got all excited and wanted to go out and have me make her picture with them. I got my camera, knowing full well that they were either going to fly away or attack her, because "our" ducks are not very nice around here. They chose to fly away, thank goodness. (By the way, I did not plan on taking pictures had they chosen to attack her... I just didn't plan on telling her that was one of the options!). Anyway, since we had that "just after-rain glisten" outside, I took a few silly shots of her anyway, but then it happened: she spotted a massive puddle in the neighbor's driveway and I saw her eyes dart to her dinosaur rain boots on our back step and back to me and that big grin appear on her face. I gave her the go ahead and these are the result!
Those are awesome shots! I was excited to find your blog. You may not remember us from WHFBC, but I remember the babies when they were tee tiny. They look so big and happy now! You have a beautiful family.
