Hanging up my boots!

Last week I sent a letter to my clients and colleagues letting them know that I am officially, officially retiring from the entertainment business.

I will miss it FOR SURE, but it's time.

I had (mostly) stopped performing several months ago, but have still been teaching line dance for private events and dancing the night away with some of my favorite artists. I love this town SO MUCH and it has been such a pleasure to help people from all over the world see Nashville from my point of view.

Country Music is my home! I have had the privilege to lead what I've considered a double life for several years now. Taking care of my babies all day and dancing all night. Best of both worlds. I seriously could not have asked for anything better and I am so grateful the opportunity.

Last week, a Canadian group had me out to their event for the third year in a row. Some commented on my haircut or my latest tattoo. They asked about my kids and when I could visit. And when my jeans split right in the middle, they offered me a jacket. We're like old friends now! Swoon.

And my dance family. They have become some of my dearest friends over the last few years. There is SO much I could say about these people. I am so very grateful for their presence in my life and love every one of 'em. I started looking through pics and got sucked right in. This. I'll miss this.

My friend and colleague, Jamey, once told me he was proud to have me representing Nashville.

It's one of the greatest compliments I have ever received.

I have worked with some of the best in the industry. Thank you all for being a part of my experience and allowing me to be a part of your's!

I know the country music stars will all desperately miss having me dance alongside them, but such is the life in the music biz ;)

So maybe it's not a huge deal to the rest of the world, but it has been a huge part of MY world for 5+ years. Thanks, Nashville.

KEEP DANCING, YA'LL.
