Twin Day/Halloween Party

Friday was Layla's Halloween Party at school, but it was also "Twin Day" for Red Ribbon Week. Since Kindergarteners don't really get the concept of planning to be a twin with another classmate and I was coming to spend the day with her at school, we decided, we would be twins for the day :)

She went to school by herself, then I came to have lunch with her. After lunch, we went back to her room to hear a Halloween story and the kids went outside to burn off some excitement while the moms got the classroom ready for the party. We had some GREAT Halloween crafts ready for them when they came back in- so fun! They were all so cute!

After the first half of the party, it was time for the magic show- Ms.Venable's class got front row! Layla and her friends were a fantastic audience Oooing and Aaahhing and every little thing, screaming with delight! Precious.

The magic show did go just a little longer than expected, so it was almost time for school to be over by the time the kids got back to the classroom, but we had their treats all ready and waiting when they came back. They were shoveling in the sugar while Ms. Venable read another spirited story to get them in the Halloween mood!

All the kids- and the moms- had a blast! What a fun day... Layla could not stop talking about it. I couldn't stop talking about it! I love that I get to do those things with her right now, wouldn't trade these days for ANYTHING.
