Let Freedom Ring!

We had a fabulous weekend celebrating the "America's Birthday" (per Layla). We spent the evening of the 3rd at Hendersonville's Freedom Festival. It was fabulous! Daddy made his debut on Peacekeeper (who wasn't very fond of all the balloons) and the kids covered themselves balloons, blow-up dragons, face paint, and food! The twins mostly strolled or had the luxury of being carried by Nonie, Pap, Meme, Earl, Deda, Poppy, Uncle B, Angel, or Casey. Layla got tickets to play on the moonbounce and slides. She also had two pony rides- her FAVORITE! Her smile never faded. After games, we settled in the grass on a blanket to watch the fireworks. All three kiddos were awed by the show!

We spent the 4th of July swimming at Deda and Poppy's house with friends. It rained on and off and we were very tired, so we skipped White House's firework show to go eat at El Chico with Ba and Ge, then Layla and I sat on the tailgate of the truck and watched fireworks in our neighborhood.
We also had a cookout on the 5th at Ba and Ge's house! It was a busy busy weekend!
