Cousins galore!

I have been getting to keep my neices and nephew a lot more lately. Some days, I can barely tell that three more kids are here... others... I can :)

But I do love getting to see them and that the cousins are getting to spend so much time together!!

It's so funny figuring out which personalities work together ...

...and which don't! LOL

My other nephew, Isaac, recently spent the night with us. He and Layla (generally) play SO well together. They had the best time and he was so so sweet.

Day 3: Storytime at Nashville Public Library

Days 4:  Zoo (Again... Anna Gray's first time AND her first piggies!)

* Layla is wearing the same dress at the zoo as she was on Day 2. Please note that we bought that dress on Day 2 and she needed to try it on immediately and only wore said dress for about 7 minutes with an agreement that she would wear this particular dress to the zoo on Day 4.

** We had awesome free things planned for Days 5 & 6 as well, but that's when Vandy called to say they had openings and we ended up spending those days at the DS clinic and cardiologist.

*** This was the first time I had ever been ready for my kids to go back to school. I was exhausted. (But we had so much fun!).

Layla turns 8!

Layla opted for a "low-key" slumber party with her friends this year instead of a big to-do with everybody. Of course... I can't JUST do a slumber party. It has to be the slumber party to end all slumber parties!  Between my DNA and Pinterest, there just is no other option.


She had a blast and all of her friends declared it the "Best Party Ever" (I'm pretty sure at ages 6-8, every party is the best party ever- plus they were all on sugar highs- but I'll take it).

Her morning started with a little trickery. Very little. As in, she crawled underneath it and then asked us why the heck we did that. When we told her it was for the birthday girl to run thru, Little Brother took off and busted it up before she could.

She chose IHOP for family birthday breakfast and then on to decorating before picking up her friends.
The bed/table:

They played Twister, school, house, and fashion show. I painted 50 little toes with polka dots, zebra stripes, and rainbows. They made their own pizza and decorated pillow cases. We sang Happy Birthday and watched movies.

Basically, I wore these little girls out :)  All were tucked in their sleeping bags by 9:30 and the last one fell asleep by 10:30!

The next morning, Annie helped make rainbow pancakes...

... before all five girls headed off to church with Nathan :)

(I had a photo shoot/rehearsal. I managed to get five little girls ready in time, I just couldn't get myself ready!)
