So.much.fun.
From walking on Saturday to running on Sunday. We ran (and danced, and did cartwheels, and laid on the ground to make pink chalk angels...). Basically, we acted like 10 year old little girls and it was a freaking blast.
BEFORE:
Recognize the tutu? I didn't have a chance to make one for myself, so I borrowed AG's BuddyWalk tutu. Sure, my (covered) bottom showed, but believe me when I tell you that was the LEAST embarrassing part about the way I looked when all was said and done.
If you aren't familiar with the Color Run, it's a 5K run (slash walk slash dance slash skip slash whateveryouwant) where you are required to wear white and at periodic intervals people throw colored chalk at you. Sounds fun, right? It really is.
JUST GETTING STARTED:
I wasn't feeling well Saturday night/Sunday morning, but we had been waiting months for this. No way I was missing it. The atmosphere and adrenaline were wild and I gotta say, running through downtown Nashville on an early Sunday morning was kind of exhilerating. It felt GREAT.
Nevermind the other 14,999 people running with me.
I needed a ridiculous free-as-a-bird kinda day. It was fabulously colorful and I can't wait to do it again next year.
AFTER:
By the time I got home, all the colors had basically mixed together to form a weird brownish-black color~ less fun. And even less fun... finding color in every crevice of my body. Worth it :) Can't wait for Color Run Nashville 2013!
