Birthday party in the hizzous.

I have a running list of things I wanted to blog about, but I just haven't had the time- or internet connection- needed. I didn't want to leave tomorrow without giving a proper blog post in honor of the twins' upcoming birthday.

Somehow, they have reached the age of (nearly) 5 years old. I don't know how it happened. I rarely feed them so they will stop growing. I ignore them as much as possible, hoping to stunt their emotional maturity. But despite my efforts, they continue on and now they're almost FIVE.

That sounds ridiculous, doesn't it?! How can they be FIVE?!

How can they fix their own breakfast and put their shoes on the correct feet and write their names?

Brynn is... indescribable. She is HAPPY. It is impossible for her to walk from the couch to her room, instead she HAS to skip with a double-turn off the chair and one giant leap at the end. She can't help herself. She is writing her letters VERY well and loves to practice. She is so ready to be in school, although we know she is going to need some more practice with her listening skills! She's is beautiful. Stunning, really. And I think she may be a song-writer when she grows up (if she doesn't make it to rock star status).

Cale is just awesome. He is SO smart. His memory is incredible and it's so fun now that he has the words to tell you what he's thinking about! His caring side has really been taking over his every day life and it's precious to watch. He is a rough and tumble boy, but I think he may end up being quite the football player. The kids got a spiral like I've never seen! And he makes up offensive plays... that work.  He is really learning how to control his emotions and I'm SO proud of him.

Since we are leaving tomorrow (eek!), we wanted to make sure the babies... oh crap, really and truly I can't say that anymore, can I?- the... Brynn and Cale, felt celebrated before we left. We had all their grandparents, great-grandparents, some uncles and cousins over for a little party. We had enough stuff left-over from parties past to create a festive little gig. It was basically a junk-food/pinterest party, but they really enjoyed it!

Thank you SO much to everyone who came to make our babies- CRAP- feel special for their upcoming day!!

Sigh. I just know they are going to be SOOOO much bigger when I return! But I'll admit... it's pretty cool to see :) They're fun little (big) people!!
