And thank you all so much for the thoughts and prayers you have shared with us. They are truly appreciated. I'm sorry that I don't have the time or energy at the moment to respond to you each individually.

When I told Layla that my grandmother was gone, she got so excited and said- "Yay! Mammy's with Jesus! She doesn't hurt anymore!". So excited to the point that she wanted to call people to tell them so they could be happy for her too. She honestly did not understand how I could be possibly sad about it. What a refreshing reminder. =)

p.s. we ARE still having L's halloween party.

Farm life.

We finally made it out to the pumpkin patch this weekend! We slept in on Saturday being completely exhausted from a hectic and emotional week, but then headed out for some good ole' fall fun. We played on homemade swings, pet the cows and donkeys, wandered aimlessly thru the hay maze, went down the slide, rode the train, took a hayride to the pumpkins, and ran around outside! The weather was BEAUTIFUL and the kids had an absolute blast! And yes... I am going to completely overload you with pictures =)

Still job hunting.

As of Friday, Nathan officially has no income. NO income. My dad will be back in a couple weeks and he might need Nath's help some more then, but we cannot continue to survive with NO income. Please please please keep your eyes and ears open for anything/everything that might work for our family and please please please keep us in your prayers. We are literally handing it over to God over and over again throughout the day and doing our best to trust that He will provide, but we want to make sure we do our part in order to hear His answer. He has an application in at a couple of different places, but hasn't heard back from any. Right now, we are open to anything.

Thanks ya'll.

5K, 3-on-3, and 1 new driver

Saturday was SUCH a busy day for us, I think we are still recovering. We started our morning at 5am- up and at 'em getting ready for the Pumpkin Run. This was the 6th year and it just keeps getting bigger and better. Over $5000 was raised for the American Heart & Stroke Association in memory of Momma Sylvia and Daddy Parker. This was Brynn and Cale's first time there with us! Lots of other family made it out this year too. The weather was perrrrfect.

After the Pumpkin Run and lunch with family, we headed strait to Casey's baseketball tournament... Casey, Darrell and Otha-Brotha-Rob won again! They have won the last two 3-on-3 tournaments completely undefeated. I was QUITE impressed with these boys! And so so proud.

While we were there to watch them play, we had an alterior motive too... We were there to surprise Uncle Cake with his first car!! It was a little strange for me watching my baby brother hop into his Charger knowing in a week he will taking full advantage of that hemi engine, with his sunroof open and his sweaty legs sticking to the leather! Shudder. Scary scary thought.

After cheering on the boys and enjoying the free festival at the park, we came home for a 30-min nap before heading out to Cedar Creek where Nonie and Pap were camping. We had hamburgers and hot dogs with Nonie & Pap, Uncle Ben and Ginny, Dee & Larry, and spent the rest of the evening relaxing around the fire while the kids played with riding toys and dirt.... lots and lots of dirt! They had a blast.

Needless to say, we were all so exhausted by the end of it all- but it was a GREAT fall weekend!!
