First, October is Down Syndrome Awareness month!
It is SO important for people to understand that Anna Gray's is a life worth living. She is relevant and capable and incredible and just happens to have an extra chromosome. We wouldn't change a single thing about her. She is perfection. And smart enough to figure out that we all feel that way... therefore, will soon be rotten.
It is also Cerebral Palsy Awareness month and Breast Cancer Awareness month.
We will wear green tomorrow for our friends with CP!
Today, I begin my first virtual marathon for breast cancer research. My I Run For (IR4) buddy, Christopher, will keep me moving! I am running in honor of and in memory of some precious ladies- some on Earth, some already cancer-free in Heaven.
Also, you know that handsome fella I do life with?
He was just promoted to NCOIC of CATM- effective immediately!
Upside: He has worked so hard and is good at what he does.
Downside: He keeps asking me if I'm "hot for teacher".
He's kind of a big deal. Proud of you SSgt West!!
These two little ladies also had big days today:Layla joined chorus :) She's so sweetly excited. She thought maybe they would practice the songs from Teen Beach Movie.
Maybe.
And Princess B, aka Mephis Belle, had a productive neuro appointment this morning- we are moving forward in a direction we all feel comfortable with and hope for positive results. We also hope her spunky spirit is not effected- can't live without her.
Both twins also started equine therapy last week. We feel really good about working with this team and are excited for progress and understanding. Huge praise. FOR.REAL.
There are some more big things on the horizon for us- wink, wink, nudge, nudge- but I feel like that's a full load for today! (How ya like that little teaser?!)
Now go out there and make people AWARE.
