This one's for you, Case!

I kept my promise!!!!!

i love these people.

Titans newest fan and the world's biggest dreamer

Brynn made it to her first Titans game!! She was sooooo good and even napped for about an hour in my arms. She ate all day (grapes, popcorn, icee, crackers, cookie, potatoes...). And she jumped everytime the fireworks went off!

Layla decided last week that when she grows up, she wants to be a roller-skating princess... or a detective. Just incase she decides to go after the former, I thought I'd get some proof that we were supportive from the beginning. ;)

She decided later that she could also be a doctor. She said, "That way, I could help other kids, like Brynn and Cale, that were 'adoctored'!"

Round 2

This afternoon's attemp went a little better... but since they were fed and rested, although happy, they were also wiggly!!

Brynn normally refuses to even look at the camera, but she was hamming it up today!

Such a funny girl.
Sweet sweet sweet boy!

Dinner and a movie (star!)

I took the twins outside today to shoot some new snapshots of them together since I rarely get any of just the two of them together. These pictures are for the slideshow of all the Bethany babies that will show on the big screen during the New Friends Dinner on November 6. We were in a race against naptime, and I think naptime won. But here are a few I managed to sneak in anyway.

I really wanted one of them standing up so everyonoe could see how much they've grown, but that didn't really work out either.

I know it's sort of wrong, but I love this one for some reason, lol!

And a few individuals just bc i love 'em =)

But then the little green jealousy monster showed up and wanted to know why in the world I wasn't taking pictures of her! So of course, I gave her a moment in the spotlight. Okay... I know I'm supposed to pretend like I don't know this bc she's mine and all, but this kid is a STAR!!! She needs an agent! She could pay for her own college education, I'm sure of it!

(And for those of you who notice such things...ahem, Jennifer!... I totally forgot to change my ISO after Monday's shoot. Oh well, I'm still learning!)
Aren't my babies beautiful?!!?

Happy Gotcha Day, Sutton James!!

We are so so happy for our favorite Mitchells!! Sutton's adoption was (finally) finalized on Monday and they are now officially a family of THREE! Their stay in the courtroom was quick and to the point and then they had a lovely picnic for all to celebrate! It was a beautiful day in so many ways!!

It has been such a pleasure to watch this sweet boy grow and to see two of our favorite people as the parents they were meant to be. We are thrilled to pieces and we love you all! Congratulaaaaationnns dear friends!!

It's football time in Tennessee!

L has been on a countdown for "her" Titans games. The girl just loves football! We recorded one of the UT games and now she asks to watch the "go vols" during her tv time. This is her impatiently tailgating at last week's season opener ("Can we pleeease go to the game now?"...although I think she's more interested in what snacks Ge will buy her once she gets there). Too bad I didn't get a pic after she got her face painted... it looked like somebody threw up Titans on my little girl!! Thank you, Uncle B and Angel for the cheerleader bear =)

it's a new dawn, it's a new day

Can I just say how much we loooove Nathan's new LIFE?! Since leaving the police dept., he has been home EVERY SINGLE night. We have eaten dinner as a family every night. We have played with the kids together every night. We have layed on the couch and watched tv together every night. We had alll of Saturday and Sunday to do whatever we please (a real weekend!). We have not had this life... well, ever. In nine years together. And it is MAGNIFICENT!! We are loving every second of it. AND we are so very grateful to have it! Life is GOOD. =)

I love my husband. I love our life.

P.S. I love you...

Spent some time taking photos in the FIFTY acres of sunflowers next to Nonie and Pap's house last week. Never seen anything like it! You know who would have loooooved these pics....

Oh! and the first few pics I took (including the last one of Layla shown below) are blurred in the middle. Thank you, Brynn, for licking my camera lens when I turned my head ;)
